  • 1.  Changing pRDM to vRDM with Linux guest OS

    Hi

When changing a pRDM to a vRDM, with Windows guests at least it's pretty seamless in terms of just having to power down, delete the pointer, create the new pointer in virtual mode using the same LUN and SCSI id and it all comes back up without any guest-os level config necessary. Takes but a few seconds.

I have to do this on a few Linux vms, does this process work just as smoothly with those? Does a linux guest simply mount the disks the same during boot as Windows does or are there any gotchas or anything required at the OS level when you do this with Linux?

This should not be an issue, Linux mounts the disks similar to Windows.
