  • 1.  Changing IP address of vcenter 8.02 appliance from cli shell

I've move a vcenter to another vcenter.. basically imported it to itself and it moved. I have different networking I need to move it to.

I can get into the traditional shell (think bash shell) as root. I'm trying to find the network config file to change the ip address. I'm a bit rusty in bash especially this structure. I don't see any conf files in /etc/sysconfig/network. Googling doesn't seem to help.

Any ideas on this? Rather not start over as this is usually an easy thing unless vmware has made it impossible. I dream of having the service console back.

BTW I didn't mean to put this topic here but I can't select any of the other boards!!

Yeah, the forums were read-only last night for scheduled maintenance. That’s why I couldn’t post it until early this morning.
