  • 1.  Change Independent to dependent disk

    Hi every one.

    I want to know if there is something that I should take in consideration before changing a disk mode from independent to dependent in a vSphere 5.1.

    I have 3 disks:

    c: scsi0:0

    d: scsi1:0 independent

    e:scsi1:1 independent

    This is because I want to do a Backup with HP Data protector but the backup fails because the disk "d" y"e" are independent.

    You should be able to change the virtual disk's mode without issues with the VM powered off. The change should not affect the guest system at all.
