Hi guys, I have several Windows 2008 R2 VMs with a single vmdk but multiple partitions in the OS layer on that single disk. I'd like to separate them into separate disk. Now, I could add in the extra vmdks and then using a software cloning solution (which I have) but I find vmware tools quicker for the larger disks. I see in vmware standalone converter that I can use the advanced options on the disk layout configuration pane of the conversion wizard to separate out the partitions into separate disk. Can I do the same with vmkfstools at the command line?
