    Hi.

    I am using VMware Workstation pro and recently upgraded it to 15.5.2.

    I have a virtual machine that I have been using for a long time. The OS is Windows 10 Version 1803. This version has reached its end of life and I need to upgrade it to version 1909.

    I have tied several times to update it using windows update. It downloads and installs and then requires me to restart. When I restart and get in windows, I realize that the installation has failed and the windows version is still 1803.

    I upgraded my Vmware to the latest version as mentioned above and tried again. Still I am experiencing the same issue.

    I don't want to install windows 10 from scratch in Vmware as I will lose the softwares installed.

    Any assistance is appreciated.

    HI,

    It is not a problem of Vmware Workstation, but of Microsoft Update. This type of problem from upgrading Windows 10 1803 to version 1909 is well known in "Microsoft technet". I suggest you also open a post on Microsoft:

    Ci sono 4 versioni tra la tua e quella dove vuoi arrivare:

    1803->1809->1903->1909
