Can't deploy OVA [ Invalid response code: 500 ]

Hi,

I'm having 10GB OVA file which I'm trying to deploy on my VCenter.

I'm getting the following error :

 Failed to deploy OVF package. Cause: A general system error occurred: Transfer failed: Invalid response code: 500.

Tried on FC/NFS Datastore, with thin/thick provision. the datastore have enough space....

Any idea ?

I have the same issue, are you still having problems or did you resolve?

I am having the same issue, have you found a resolution for this? It gets to 100% and then fails with HTTP Error 500: Internal Server Error, I also tried with the OVF tool and get the same error when deploying.

Do you by chance use an external proxy? I have had number issues in the past with deploying OVAs. Temporarily disabling the proxy normally resolved it.

Did you try to open the website of the ESX on which you deploy the OVA and accept the certificate of this ESX and then deploy the OVA? i don`t remember if the error is 500 when the certificate is not accepted or the cert gives different error.

I'm actually using ovftool it is a command line tool for creating and deploying. I can deploy manually through the vsphere client using deploy ovf template.
