  • 1.  Cannot type in Linux VM password field

    Hi everyone,

    I'm having issues with Linux VMs, specifically typing in the password field. I can type in the in the username field, but when I move to the password field nothing is typing. Anyone experience this? We run vsphere client v 7.0.2.0050

    I'll mention I tried adding a USB controller and this didn't help.

    I tried removing the Keyboard registry key on my computer (which comes back once I restart)

    That is normal for a Linux machine. Just type the password and hit enter.

    I just wanted to follow up on this. I tried a few different keyboards and none of them fixed the issue. My coworker had a Logitech MK850 keyboard and he was able to type in the Linux VM. I bought the same keyboard and now I am able to type in the VM. 

    Issue has been resolved.
