My Linux VM (CentOS) was frozen so I shut it down in the Virtual Infrastructure client and it was processing it but it was stuck at 95% complete. How do I force it to shut down? My only other option is to restart my ESX server but that would affect all other VMs so I don't want to do that.

    thanks,

    Mark

from the service console, I would try to restart the management agents first

    service mgmt-vmware restart

If that doesn't work you can try and kill the PID

Thanks. Will restarting the managment agents effect the other VMs on my ESX server?

no, restarting the agents will not impact your guests.

Restart the management servers in esx, will resolve the issue.
