  • 1.  Cannot Register VMware vSphere Hypervisor 7.0 - Redirects to 8.0 and as trial

    I had VMware vSphere Hypervisor 7.0 installed and a free license for it. I had to redo some of my arrays and so I knew I'd have to reinstall VMware vSphere Hypervisor 7.0, however when I try to download it- it redirects to 8.0 and registration goes to a trial and does not provide a license key. I've gone to my download history and it's empty. It's like I never had 7.0 at all. No license key or anything. I can't even download 7.0 because, as I mentioned above, it redirects to 8.0. Is there a way to fix this?

    Hello.
    On October 11 of this year VMware released version 8.0 IA.
    For evaluation and free hypervisor (free license) generally only the latest version is available.


    You can register to get the free license and access to the VMaware vSphere Hypervisor in version 8.0, but at the moment due to high demand is pending the generation of the license. anyway you have 60 days as a demo license.

    I tried to install 8 on my server but I got Error 33 (Inconsistent data) while decompressing data input(178868032). Luckily I found that I still had the 7.0.3 iso. I've installed that again, but I'm still not seeing my key anywhere on my downloads or evaluations. I also see that you still can't get a key for 8.0. Do you have any recommendations on how to get my 7.0 key back? I did have one. Or if it would be possible to upgrade from 7 to 8 once things have settled and keys are available? My concern about the ladder is that my server (HPE ProLiant DL380p Gen8) will even support 8. I'm very new to all of this. This is my very first server and exposure to ESXi (2 weeks in now!)

    Is there anyway you can pass me the 7.0.3 iso ?My RAID card is not compatible with V8 and I can't download V7 anywhere...

    I have the same problem, HP DL380G9 errors - incompatible when loading 8.0.  I have the original 7.0U3 license so I'm up and running but I can't find any record of it online.  Where should I look?
