Hi all
we are running Windows vCenter 6.7U3 Server with SQL DB on Windows Server 2012.
Login to "Certificate Management" with Administrator@vSphere.local from HTML5 fails without error message!
vCenter -> Monitor -> Events does not show any error or warning
How can I login and where can I find the appropriate Logs?
I have the same problem, did you find a fix?
Same happening here.
Not sure what happened, but I am able to access certificate management.
I literally just went to Users and Groups, toggled the domain for the administrator account, edited it, but didn't even save. Went back and typed in the FQDN and credentials and boom.
wtf??
Hi,
sorry for the late reply. I was on vacation.
Unfortunately, still not possible to login into Certificate Management.
Tried to "toggled the domain for the administrator account" without success
Still the same error: n.json is not a function
What do you mean you "toggled the domain for the administrator account"? The local administrator or a domain admin?
Is everyone assuming SSO turned on? I don't have SSO enabled and I'm having the same issue.
its done!
I disabled IPv6 with hex “ff” / dec “255” as described in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/troubleshoot/windows-server/networking/configure-ipv6-in-windows
Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters\Name: DisabledComponentsType: REG_DWORDMin Value: 0x00 (default value)Max Value: 0xFF (IPv6 disabled)
Windows vCenter Server was rebooted after changes.
Now the Login works!!!!! (after reboot!)
Hello,I have the same problem. Did you solve the problem and how did you solve it? Could you give information.
look at the "disable" IPv6 solution above
As you said, it was solved by turning off IPv6.
So how can I change the hostname?I changed the url in the settings but it didn't work. Could there be a different place that I missed? Operating system windows.
Did you try SimonR_AU solution?
Deleting the active sessions helped me.
Yes, I deleted active sessions.I changed the hostname, but when I log in, the old hostname is gone, so I could not install SSL.
Depending on your version of vSphere, I'm not sure you can change the hostname.
The below article explains how in the Update 3 version.
I'm still on 6.7 and have not updated to that version yet.
https://blogs.vmware.com/vsphere/2019/08/changing-your-vcenter-servers-fqdn.html
I struggled with this a bit. I found I had other active and inactive sessions and X (closed) those via vsphere > top level of site > monitor > sessions.
Thank you SimonR_AU!!
There were quite a few idle sessions and when I closed them I was able to log into certificate manager!.
Thanks again!
