I swear I remember hearing about a bootable converter iso, but for the life of me, I can't find it. Any hints?
Hello.
If you are licensed for vCenter, then this link should be what you are looking for.
Good Luck!
Wow, they didn't really make it easy to find, huh? I searched all over this site, too. Thanks for the correct answer!
I spent some time looking for this and never could find it. My vCenter server is for v4 and the ISO is for v3.x. Is this what you all are seeing as well?
There is a v4 version of the Converter bootable iso. If you log in with your account and go to the section you would as if you were downloading vCenter. Under the vCenter download are three other options and one of them will be the v4 bootable iso. Hope that makes sense.

For vSphere 5.0, VMware Converter Standalone must be downloaded and installed. Once installed, locate the "converter-helper-vm.iso" file (or converter-helper-vm-x64.iso) to get the cold clone ISO.
Hope this helps.
These are no no cold-clone ISO images. They are only used internally for Linux P2V conversions.
Looks like they retired the old ColdClone 3.03 bootable iso. Good thing I kept a copy in my Dropbox!
