  • 1.  Auto register HBA vSphere CLARiiON AX4

    Posted Sep 06, 2010 08:40 AM

    Hi there,

    I've a issue when I try to

connect my 3 vSphere servers into AX4-5F.

    I can't autoregister the

    server's HBA's.

It doesn't necessary to intall naviagent on ESX4 Servers

because it's built-in native in vSphere.

    Has anyone auto-register

vsphere automatically in CLARiiON AX4 ??

    Best regards.

    igarcia.

Have you tried to boot into the HBA utillity and do a scan from there. You should see the controllers.

    Also double check your zoning.

    Hi,

i think that is a zoning problem.

    Check the configuration.

do you use navisphere manager or navisphere express?

If you use the navisphere manager, right click on storage icon and open connectivity status.

if you're no logged in, it's a zoning issue.

    Bye

    Hi guys,

I've not problems with Zoning nor visibility, I can see all paths, my problem is the HBA's auto registration in array.

vSphere has built-in CLARiion auto-registration and it's not necessary install CLARiiON agents into service console, I've opened the EMC comunication ports with bad results, finally I've ergister HBA,s manually.
