attach USB tape drive to virtual machine

  • 1.  attach USB tape drive to virtual machine

    hi,

    I have setup one VM win2008 with Veritas backup Exec install on it. This VM has attached one USB dat tape drive, my issue is from the OS and veritas are able to detect the tape drive. But when I try to perform backup job or format the tape, which is not working. Anyone have experience on this, any setting needed for attache usb tape drive to VM?..Need help..

    Is this a ESX VM or Workstation?

    VCP3, VCP4, RHCE, EMCPA
