Hello, I am fairly new to Broadcom and VMware I am used to virtual box, and definitely avoid windows hypervisor like the plague, I wanted to try VMware, I know it's been free a while now but I finally got around to downloading it and installing VMware Workstation Pro 17.5 I got Linux mint latest up and running, very nice. Only I cannot seem to get it to recognize that I have a video card. Everything I read says VMware has a hardware tab, (not on my VMware apparently) but even according to google AI VMware has a hardware tab with PCI throughput. Well I had to tell google AI it didn't exist in my VMware installation, and it finally informed me I want VMware sphere. Which I must say annoyed me quite a bit. I can't really understand not including rudimentary functionality like that, the fact is the VM functions poorly with screen tearing and graphic blocking because of the fact that you can't integrate your card at all.

Anyway I read that in order to get access I go to the all tab in VMware cloud and hit access, I did that, but it did not seem like it was signing me up for any sort of access, or even a review for one. So I was wondering how I go about doing that? so far most of what I have dealt with regarding Broadcom, has been an unnecessarily overwhelming amount of redundancy. So, to cut through all that, I figured I'd ask people who probably have already cut through all of it, and are very likely experienced in this and know their way around. I must admit I am surprised I found my way here lol. Thank you all in advance, I hope everybody has a great weekend, and stay safe everyone.

Workstation does not, as you have discovered, support pci passthrough. You need ESXi or vsphere for that and they no longer provide a free version of ESXi. You can improve video by turning off Display/accelerate 3D graphics. This may rule out some graphic stuff.
