I've read a few topics about storage performance and last was Iomega IX4-200D test here: http://www.gabesvirtualworld.com/?p=949 . Gabe suggest to use NFS with 64K block size for this storage. My question is where should I configure block size? At VMware, storage or VM partition?

You can't set the blocksize for NFS mounted partitions from VMware. The filesystem is managed by "some" OS which can't handle VMFS.

You have to set the blocksize on the NFS host for the partition type you use there.

Thanks for reply, but can you help me find where can I set block size at ix4-200d management? I found option to Enable NFS Service and llow root account access.

there is no such option. 64KB is the blocksize of the GOS Filesystem aka VMDK.

keep in mind that this will significantly increase your overhead. 4KB vs 64KB.

Keep in mind that this is IX4 specific! It doesn't mean you will get the most out of your box with 64KB.
