The Symantec VIP product team is currently working on enhancing the VIP Access Mobile App. Early access Beta testing is available for interested customers who can exercise the new capabilities and provide their valuable feedback to make the product more robust.
It includes the following enhancements:
- New view and ability to organize accounts in VIP Access App
VIP Access App is currently used for MFA for various use cases, and users can have additional account entries in the VIP Access App. In this new version, we have enhanced the following user experience of multiple accounts in the app
-
If additional accounts beyond the Symantec VIP are added, the default view changes to display all accounts on a single page instead of having two distinct pages separating the Symantec credential from other accounts.
-
Ability to organize accounts by arranging the account list in the order of preferences of the user.
-
Ability to rename user name and account name.
-
Push Notification to include User location and Location Map
To help a user make a more secure decision to accept/deny the push notification request, the location of the requesting user, and its location map has been included in the push notification request. It also displays the application name from where the authentication request is generated. NOTE- in order to test this feature, a setting will also need to be changed on the SaaS service, so we will need to work with the company supporting the users use of VIP as well.
