At this time there is no plan for .cloud Mac central management. However, call support. They may be able to give you specific info on it. Thanks.

This is very frustrating, indeed. The only reason why I puchased this product is because of the promise to integrate Windows and Mac clients through the cloud. Support today told me that "this might be in the next release because of customer demand".

This is something that I have been requesting for over two years.

To have Mac clients effectively hidden from the cloud portal because the client is a stand-alone download is absurd!

I have also been requesting this since moving to Symantec.Cloud back in January of 2014.  Each time I contact support, I am told "There are currently no plans for mac".  I submit a ticket every few months to see if I get a differnet answer and it never changes.

I manage over 1,000 machines and have roughly 50 macs in over 20 different enviromnents. We still have our SEPM active for ONLY those Mac's and it doesn't work very well either. Each OS X update requries a re install of the product.

 

I am nearly ready (after 1.5 years of asking) to switch to another product like Avast. I don't particularly like the product however they have one cloud management console for BOTH Windows and Mac.

I realize this is a Symantec forum, but I am going to post this anyway.

Sophos has cloud support for Macs.

Unfortunately, they still do not have an MSP program - that is still (at least) a year away.

SEPM has a very high maintenance time cost associated to it next to cloud. I've got a small group of Mac OS 10.10 computers and for those clients I've probably spent more time dealing with the software than every other client combined in my organization.

Every time SEPM version increases, the SEPM server has to be uninstalled, and wiped of any software/registry settings etc, before the new client can be installed. Plus it constantly breaks leading to a similar procedure.

If you've not noticed Symantec's website is quite discheveled and that leads one to believe that that's the reason why Symantec.Cloud has yet to be released. Plus Symantec was once more of an industry player that it is now, but they probably don't realize that people are fed up with the lack of attention to the user expierence.
