Antivirus for NAS Synology

Hello All,

 

I have file server with OS 2008 Server R2 and i installed syamntec antivirus for this server, and PC User that connect this server, all use symantec antivirus. so... Server and Client protected by symantec. i have plan change file server with NAS Synology but i am not sure how to protect this NAS, because this NAS can't install syamntec antivirus.

anyone idea for protect this NAS from malware or virus ?. what it is enaough if only user that use antivirus ?

I also have a Synology NAS server. There are two approaches which come to mind

1. scan the contents of mapped drives, which connect to the NAS server.

2. use Symantec Protection Engine for Network Attached Storage
