Upgrading from PAM 4.1.8

There is a PAM service pack 4.1.8.
PAM 4.2.0 upgrade requirements do not include 4.1.8.

If we apply PAM service pack 4.1.8, is it correct to understand that we cannot upgrade to 4.2.0?

To check, we upgraded 4.1.8 with 4.2.0 and got the following error:
  • PAM-CMN-1344: Problem applying the upgrade package. Details: You cannot upgrade from version 4.1.8; using this patch. Obtain the latest upgrade patch and retry.

If not, is there a way to upgrade?

Thanks,

Hello Marubun Support,

You can't upgrade from 4.1.8 to 4.2 version.

4.1.8 was released after 4.2 was released.

In the 4.2 upgrade documentation as well we do mention 4.1.7 as the highest build that can be upgraded to 4.2

https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/symantec-security-software/identity-security/privileged-access-manager/4-2/upgrading.html

You would have to wait for the next maintenance release 4.2.1 to upgrade from 4.1.8.

Thanks,
Reatesh.
