Hi everyone,

I can see in PAM logs that "PAM-CMN-1701: Unauthorized access to service controller." keeps appearing. What does this error actually mean? Is it some configuration issue?

Best regards,

Nikola

Hello Nikola, The error suggests that a process started a workflow which it is not (not yet or no longer) authorized to execute. It could be triggered by activity from a PAM client that had been disconnected temporarily and no longer has a valid user session. If it's associated with user "system", it could be an internal workflow, triggered e.g. by a temporary communication problem with another cluster node. Unless you see real problems correlated with these messages, they likely are harmless. If you get a lot of them you may want to contact PAM Support.
