I am adding Notifications to a job and an unrelated box. I have 2 questions:
1) Regarding the standard tags, Job start time and Job completion time, does this automatically populate with the last start/completion time recorded, even it that was weeks ago? It looks this way from the run history, but I wanted to confirm. The reason I ask, is because I just had the job trigger notifications for Must_Start_Alarm and Must_Complete_Alarm, and for these instances, the job had no start or complete times in regards to these 2 alarms but did have a start and complete weeks ago. It seems more logical to me that it would only populate these fields if the job had actually had a start/complete in relation to these alarms.
2) Regarding the notification execution, on the box, which is set up similar to the unrelated job, I received only a Must_Start_Alarm notification, not a Must_Complete_Alarm notification. On the job, I received both notifications. All alarms were triggered because a run condition was not met. I don't understand why the result was different.
I would look at the script that it's running, I bet you that Network drive that it's mounting or getting information is messing you up.
