Does adding deployment task to phase require administrator rights?

Hi,

We're running on version 6.7 - 7.   Our Release board management used to be centralized but now moving to developer self-service- model.

It looks like  adding deployment tasks to phases requires at minimum Administrator rights. Any lesser rights results in Endpoint- dropdown to be greyed out and not selectable.  Is this the way to go?  Give everyone who needs to do tasks,  Administrator rights?

Is there some way to go around this or possibly grant Endpoint usage rights to Release Manager role?  The way i see it, usage of endpoint should be possible for non-admin users, such as release managers.

Best regards, Jan

Hi Jan,

First I would like to verify to which product you are referring Continuous Delivery Director (CDD) or Nolio Release Automation (also known as CARA or RA).
CDD has the capability "Production Environment Protection (here you can find more details) - once you marked a specific environment as production, only users with the permission "Can Manage Production" can modify phases that associated with the production environment
If you would like to allow team members to modify only production tasks (and not phases) they need to have the permission - "Can Manage Production Task"

Please let me know if you need more details - I will be happy to discuss your use case

Thanks,
