Hi world,

I'm a question regarding changing the topology in a distributed environment when the primary server is down and the secondary server is taken over.
I past I heard we shouldn't change the topology in Spectrum OneClick because of losing the changes after switching back.

If yes, which is the reason?

I'm asking only to know, what when the primary Spectro Server had an longer outage couldn't we change the topology?

Could you provide a link with more information about it?

Thank you very much.
Greetings Rudi

The reason for that is that SSdb stores the information about how the topology looks like. Normaly, during a SS save, the FT server is synched with the primary. This is the reason for example for having a 12 hour time between configured SSdb saves.

If you change the layout on the FT server, before starting again the primary server, you'd have to load the a fresh SSdbsave from the FT server.

It works, I did it several times. That's the only problem.
