CA SYSVIEW huge PTFs size

Hi,

I want to install CA SYSVIEW 17 PTFs. But, when I download all PTFs, I found that it makes 1.7 GB.

The size is huge regarding the size of our USS folder and SMPE temporary storage.

I thought that the PTFs are not all cumulatives, so may be, for some PTFs, I can download only the last one that replace all olders PTFs ( Especially for SYSVAPPS and Conditions).

Can someone help to resolve that issue.

Hi,

When downloading solution at the Broadcom support website it's possible to get a complete package of ptfs, but also a part of it..
Did you check at the Download Manager the option 'Do you want a complete package for all?'
Or the option to select solutions started from the last download?

 

These options would narrow the selected solutions..

When leaving the 'complete package' flagged, you get a package with all dependencies (co-reqs, pre-reqs, etc).
You also can use both, the 'last date' and 'complete package' ..
These selections will create a smalled download file..
