Hello: What is the best approach to resync Users in CA Service Catalog from the ca_contact table?  When data in ca_contact is updated, it does not automatically update the corresponding User record in CA SC.

Thank you.  Scott

Hi Scott,

Can you please help me with which column you have updated in the database and not reflected in the service catalog?

Usually, the data you created in the DB, will be shown in the catalog.

Thanks,

Seetharam

Seetharamaiah Uggirala: It is all of them.  If we update a contact record in CA Service Desk Manager, that change does not automatically get applied to their corresponding User record in CA Service Catalog.  UserID is the most critical field.  Earlier last year, the UserIDs we used was a combination of the active directory domain + SAM account (example if domain is abc and SAM account is sstineman, the userid value was abc\sstineman).  When we started using SAML/Azure authentication, we updated all userid values in CA Service Desk Manager to be only the SAM account.  When we did that, all of the UserIDs in CA Service Catalog remained untouched (still had domain\sam_account).
Is there a way to globally update all user accounts in CA Service Catalog to pull in the current data from CA Service Desk?  Thank You.  Scott

Seetharamaiah Uggirala: Nevermind.  I was looking at an environment where the UserIDs in SDM still had the domain in them.  When I updated one, it instantly updated SC.  Same happened when I used pdm_load to do an update to a contact record.  It immediately reflected that change in SC.  We can close this thread.  Thank you.  Scott
