Hi Team,

[Product]

Symantec Privileged Access Manager

[Question]

This time, I am considering using the following procedure to restore a full backup to a cloned CAPAM for version upgrade verification.
Will it be the same appliance in this case?

1. Acquire a clone of CAPAM in the production environment
2. Acquire the OVF file of the acquired clone
3. Deploy the OVF file in the verification environment
4. Build CAPAM for version upgrade verification in the verification environment
5. Restore the full backup of the production environment in the verification environment

* Both the production environment and the verification environment use VMware environments.

Also, CAPAM in the current environment is clustered, but will it be possible to restore from a full backup without any problems even when it is clustered?

Thanks,

The procedure to clone a PAM VM is documented on page Clone a PAM Server Instance on VMware, AWS, or Azure. Do not clone a node while it is a member of an active cluster. See the note on the documentation page.
