We are please to announce that a new
minor release of Explorer for Endevor 1.11.0 has been released.
The focus of this release is to improve Individual Element Editing Experience, allowing for an Element to be more easily fetched from Endevor, updated and uploaded back.Features included in 1.11.0:
- Improved Element editing experience, including: ability to keep an Element open after saving, setting the CCID/Comment, Generate After Upload feature via the status bar, reduced user prompts and better compatibility with the File: Auto Save setting.
- Changed the logic of location specification while uploading the Element changes. Now the location is not required if it can be determined from the Element and the Element will be uploaded to the same location where it was fetched from.
- Changed the logic of the Generate with copyback feature. Now Elements are copied back to the location based on the map and the user is no longer prompted for it.
- Changed the logic of the Add Element feature. Now the location prompt aligns with the File Extension Resolution setting when suggesting a file extension to apply to the new element.
- Now connections and locations in the Endevor Elements view are marked with error icon versus warning icon when problems with establishing the connection or authorization issues are detected.
- Locations using REST API v1 base path (EndevorService/rest or EndevorService/api/v1) are indicated with a warning sign and a message stating they will not continue working in E4E 2.0*.
* REST API v1 EndevorService/api/v1 and EndevorService/rest will no longer be supported in Explorer for Endevor 2.0.0 (release plan - End of 2025). Ensure that you use REST API v2 EndevorService/api/v2 in basePath in your Endevor connections to avoid business disruptions.
