    Subject:  End of Service Announcement for the CA OPS/MVS Hardware Management Console (HMC) Interface

    CA Technologies is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. In accordance with our CA Support Policy and Terms (https://support.broadcom.com/), please consider this letter your written notification that we are discontinuing support for the CA OPS/MVS HMC interface starting with the CA OPS/MVS 14.0 release.  This will allow our Development organization to more effectively focus its resources on and add value to the next release of CA OPS/MVS.

    The CA OPS/MVS 13.5 release will be the last release to support the legacy HMC interface which allows sites to communicate with the IBM HMC to programmatically manage IBM System z hardware.  This functionality is being replaced by the newer CA OPS/MVS 13.5 BCPii Integration feature.  All legacy HMC interface elements will therefore be removed from CA OPS/MVS 14.0 code and documentation.

    At this time, we encourage you to plan for the migration to the CA OPS/MVS 13.5 BCPii Integration feature so you can take full advantage of the modern capabilities this feature has to offer.
