CA file master plus loading IMS; PSB not available

We are getting PSB not available as error msg while loading IMS  using CA file master plus jobs allthough the PBS are available in Environment provided libs. Can any one help on this?

1. Online or batch error?

   a. Online and you get an error message in the top right corner of your screen

      - Is the environment DL/I or BMP?

      - Did you enter a PSB/ACB name?

      - What is the exact message?

      - Press PF1 for the long message

      - Issue the primary command MSGID for the ID of the message

   b. Batch error

      - Copy the SYSPRINT. The SYSPRINT should contain a copy of the SYSIN + various messages 

2. Additional messages

   a. Online error. Look for additional messages in the JESLOG of the user's TSU

   b. Batch. Look for additional messages in the JESLOG of the batch report

 

With these pieces of information I might give you directions to find the problem.

We are getting below error msg after jcl abend.

This IMS abend U0428 generally results from the PSB not being defined in the IMS generation.

 

If you are using dynamic PSBs you need to add the CA provided names to your IMS definitions and regenerate your IMS.

 

The new PSBs will only be available after you restart your IMS.

 

If you were using a static PSB this particular PSB is missing from your IMS definitions and you must regenerate your IMS with this additional PSB definition.

 

About installing the CA provided PSB definitions see the relevant section in the docops https://docops.ca.com/home manual for the File Master product

But still it is throwing the error msg. Any suggestions on this.

Hi Zingy,

 

I believe the issue is not in your FMIMS setup but in your IMS setup.

The first thing to do is browse your IMS generation deck and verify the PSB you need is defined in your IMS generation.

Show your IMS DBA or IMS system folks the installation pages for CA FMIMS at /http://docops.ca.com 

- Go to  http://docops.ca.com  

- Choose File Master product 10

- In the left pane click Configuring, then Configuring without CA CSM, then CA FileMaster for IMS tasks

 

Review the entire section.

 

The below excerpt is what I meant in my prior updates

 

Include Dynamic ACBs in the IMS System Definition

Define dynamic ACBs in your IMS system definition with the DOPT option specified. Member CAWKDACB of cai.

CDBISAMP contains the sample APPLCTN macros that must be added to your IMS system definition Stage 1 source to support dynamic ACBs.

 

Follow these steps:

1. Add the sample APPLCTN macros in member CAWKDACB of CAI.CDBISAMP to your IMS system definition.
2. Perform an appropriate IMS system definition.

IMS status code of 'AI' that occurred while performing
insert in response to Extract Record.

 

RELOAD processing terminated
A required database DD statement was missing for the database
being loaded. The missing DDname is DXXXVS1.

The 'AI' code usually means an error on opening the data base. There are various reasons for such a problem. See the IMS message guide for full details and explanation. If your job log contains  a DFS0730I additional message, this message contains an error code and reason code. Check out message DFS0730I in the IMS message manual in order to get a hint on the error.  

 

If you can't figure out the problem, please open an issue with the support at http://support.ca.com 

Be prepared to send

- The full job report

- A copy of the FMIMS environment
