    do two switches have to be ISL'd together to be part of the same fabric?

     

    Can a fabric exist without any ISL between the switches? When I create an alias or zone or cfg change, the whole fabric knows about it. What are the requirements for a fabric in brocade?

    They have to see each other somehow. There could be a third switch in between for example.
