Task constraint defaulting to 'finish no earlier than'

Hi there,
When I create a new task in the 'gantt' chart in Clarity I do not select any constraint at all. But when I go into msproject and look at the constraint types for the tasks I have just created in Clarity it seems like they are defaulting to 'finish no earlier than'. Is there any way I can change the default 'constraint' to 'must start on' without having to set a date for the 'must start on' for every new task I create?
