Today, we are pleased to announce the general availability of CA Capacity Command Center (CCC) 2.6) with Data Manager 5.2
New features for CA Capacity Command Center include:
- Automatic VMware host to component model library mapping – with success rates of over 70%i (over 90% success rate in all of the tested environments). This enhances model-mapping configuration and reduces the time for optimal analysis.
- Increased performance and scalability – through auto purging of staging table.
- Cumulative Component Model Library updates. – To include latest system models available. Over 200 new models added, including Intel Xeon E5-2658, Intel Xeon E5-2448L, IBM Power 8 and SPARC M6 processors.
New features with Data Manager 5.2 (New Data Adapters):
- CA Nimsoft Data Adapter 2.6– Initial support for Unified Infrastructure Manager (formerly Nimsoft) NMS 7.6 and the VMware and cdm (CPU, Disk, and Memory) probes. This adapter leverages CA’s investment in the wide range of data collection probes that Nimsoft has created over the years, and will enable the Capacity Management product to rapidly increase coverage over the next few releases.
- VMware API Solution Kit 3.4 (Data Adapter) – a data adapter that leverages VMware’s preferred data collection APIs for increased supportability and backward compatibility. The data adapter is optimized to focus on the most important Capacity Management KPIs to achieve comparable performance with the legacy Data Adapter and still supported VMware database based Data Adapter.
