    I have the same need as in this discussion:

    I've seen the Idea for this was added in 2015 and has been Wish-Listed for perhaps as long:

    Extend Activity Notifications to Workflow Tasks

    Has anyone come up with better workarounds than having the person inserting the Task(s) to Manual Notify the Assignee/Group?  That pretty much means it needs to be done at the time it is inserted and not necessarily when it goes Pending.  I didn't really follow Carol's other example of a placeholder task (but I'm just starting coffee, so.....).

    I am also not sure how Michael's custom spl code would work in an environment where notifications are already going out when tasks that are in the category task template go pending.  Seems to me that triggering off the activity log would require too much filtering or result in too many duplicates.
