  • 1.  Need information on third party Integration to CA SDM R14.1

    We need a solution for integrating the HP UCMDB10.11 to CA SD 14.1

     

    the target state to achieve is to push the discovered CI data , Relationship , attributes etc to CA SDM …the configuration module -

    1)    Is this version compatible, If not what is the alternative to integrate

    2)    The high level solution on how to get this done –

    3)    The effort for getting this configured

    Hi Gowtham,

     

    How about using Grloader utility to import the CI data? You may think of exporting the data from HP UCMDB10.11 to an excel sheet, format it according to the grloader by referring the sample sheets available in the NX_ROOT\samples\GRloader\grloader_sample_spreadsheet.xlsx.     If you are looking for an automation procedure to import the CI data from HP UCMDB10.11 to SDM R14.1, I would suggest you contact CA Services team to find out if there is a connector available to achieve the requirement.

    You can use WebServices to populate CMDB, so basically you can do this by using Perl script.

    I think the major challenger is how you contruct the input file to the Grloader. Once the file is constructed properly, you can use a batch file and some kind of scheduler to "automatically" run the bacth file.

    You can use boxi to get information from external source and import to sdm similary as it is done in ca configuration automation
