is there any way to xog out the user configured view (list or filter) on any object or portlet ?

No, I do not think so.

I was under the impression that when you XOG out an object you do get also the user modified lists views. That is part of the unwanted stuff.
Have not figured how to identify them ie. which user modified which.

i tried that .. but i did not get user views.

basically, we want to keep the user configuration back up before publishing object/portlet and xog it again .. something like this.

If they do not come into your XOG read output then there is no other way than each user manually documenting the view modifications.
