Subject: Plan for the potential impact of Adobe® Flash® Player on CA Network Flow Analysis (NFA) user interface

CA Technologies, a Broadcom Company, is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. This communication serves as a reminder that many browser vendors have announced that they are dropping support for Adobe® Flash® Player from their respective browsers after December 31, 2020. We also want to prepare your organization for that event in order to ensure your use of CA Network Flow Analysis is not adversely impacted.

Currently, the CA Network Flow Analysis (NFA) user interface uses Adobe® Flash® Player to support a number of administrative functionalities. We plan to replace the impacted administrative functionalities with a new user interface within the DX NetOps Portal (formerly, CA Performance Center). To that end, note the following changes and plan accordingly:

    1. The impacted administrative functionalities in the NFA Console screens will continue to function as long as the supported browsers support Adobe® Flash® Player. However, future versions of NFA will exclude the technology components that require Adobe® Flash® Player after the browsers fully drop support.

    2. If you are on NFA release 10.0.0 or lower, we recommend that you upgrade to NFA 10.0.3. We also recommend that you install DX NetOps Portal 20.2 to continue using the impacted administrative functionalities through DX NetOps Portal under the Administration Datasources Configuration Settings menu option.

    3. If you are on NFA release 10.0.3 or higher, we recommend that you install DX NetOps Portal 20.2 to continue using the impacted administrative functionalities through DX NetOps Portal under the Administration Datasources Configuration Settings menu option.

    4. If you are currently using NFA with Performance Management, we recommend that you upgrade to DX NetOps 20.2. Alternatively, if you are currently using CA Performance Management 3.7, a Service Pack update is planned* for release by the end of Q2 Calendar Year 2020.

Note: The user interface in the DX NetOps Portal 20.2 includes more product accessibility features than the user interface in the planned CA Performance Management 3.7 Service Pack.

    5. DX NetOps 20.2 is planned* for release by the end of Q2 Calendar Year 2020. DX NetOps 20.2 will be made available under the download page of NFA for customers that have entitlement to NFA.

If you need further assistance in understanding this change, or you have additional questions or feedback, please contact your CA account representative, CA Support, or our CA Community.

    Thank you for your business.
