CA Performance Center category has been removed

  • 1.  CA Performance Center category has been removed

    Posted Sep 01, 2015 11:32 AM

Hello IM Community,   On August 17, we let you know about our plans to remove the CA Performance Center category from our community:  Performance Management / Performance Center Category Consolidation

We removed the CA Performance Center category this morning. Now that the category has been removed here is what we want you to know:

    • All content originally categorized to 'CA Performance Center' has now been categorized to 'CA Performance Management'
    • All 'CA Performance Center' content migrated to the 'CA Performance Management' category has been applied the tags 'capc' (we will be adding the tag 'ca performance center' in upcoming weeks)
    • Feel free to leverage these 2 tags (and as you know there is no limit on how many tags you can apply to content)

If you still have questions or concerns after reading the above blog article please reach out to: MelissaPotvin or Melanie_Giuliani and we will be happy to answer any questions you have.

    Have a great day community!

What about NPC content (i.e. not having anything to do with CAPM)?

Was there a reply to this ?

Hi Stuart if you are a non CAPM user that is using CAPC you can submit your idea against the data source that you are using (i.e. NFA or ADA) or if there is any uncertainty just go ahead and report against CAPM

I'm a non CAPM user that isn't using CAPC. I'm using NPC.

    stop throwing curve balls

Just kidding - If you would like to raise enhancement requests against NPC then go ahead and raise against one of the domains (NFA, ADA, NV) and if you think of it just tag the idea with NPC and in your description comment that this is an improvement you would like to see in NPC (we will also consider this for CAPC as well).

good catch - thanks for the note!

    Here they come double time:

How do i raise an idea for the browser view (which has nothing to do with the data sources)?

How do i raise an idea for grouping (which involves all the data sources)?

How do i raise an idea for user permissions (like report creation) within NPC (which has nothing to do with data sources)?

You guys keep saying you're not going to make us use the new and improved clones of our trusty favorite software until we're ready, but you do stuff like this. Should we believe what you say or what you do?

In my experience words represent intent but I always forecast against the actions. You have really good ideas and input so I want to find a solution. If you post your ideas to situations like the ones you list here to CAPM and then comment that you would like to see these enhancements to NPC I will make sure that team gets copies of these – we are starting to put more focus on integrations with the data sources like Spectrum, NFA, ADA so it’s a great time to share ideas to improve the cross data source experience.

That message isn't good. "Don't listen to what CA says or promises. Trust they will do what their track record shows."

So, you're going to pull the rug out from under us. NPC customers are screwed. NV customers are screwed. If you're not drinking the kool-aid, you're screwed. If you want to make sure your escape option has feature parity before the ship sinks, you're screwed. How is this different than the IM2.0 debacle?

What was you browser View idea?

Many and varied. Just an example really.

I would show you, but it was categorized under NPC and now that category is gone.

My favorite idea about the browser view was already shot down: HTML Box View

I like this idea – I have always been a proponent of free text fields where admins have the flexibility to post whatever they want to communicate and help actual end consumers of the info do their jobs better – maybe we should bring this one back to life and see if we can get community support (votes) to prioritize for a future release

Melissa - thanks so much to you and the communities team for helping to make this a smooth transition for all of us. The PM product teams has allocated additional time this week and next to review all the ideas within this combined sub-category. We look forward to transitioning some more items this month to 'delivered' with the CAPM 2.6 release and pulling others into our roadmap as we complete our 2.7 planning. If anyone feels we've lost an item in this move please send me a note direct: daniel.holmes@ca.com - we value every idea!!!

I also want to be up front and honest with the community - I am really proud of the progress the team has been making responding to high priority customer enhancements and delivering on strategic priorities - in the 8 releases since we've taken on this product line we have delivered a lot!  That said since merging the CAPM and CAPC subcategories I just reviewed and we have approx.. 400 ideas that are still listed as NEW and some are REALLY old!  Our goal now that we have one subcategory is to review all 400 of these by the end of September and update the status accordingly. Improving our process is equally important as improving the product!!!

Has 2.6 been released?  The previous estimate was releasing CAPC 2.6 end of August.  If it is not, yet, released what is new estimate?
