    Hello Valued NetMaster Customers:
NetMaster now offers you increased flexibility in managing your environment, by allowing you to specify the details of an automated refresh of the IP Policy Agent Rules cache.
In previous releases, the process of refreshing the Policy Agent rules cache was either manual, or a default daily update at 1:05 am. If you wanted to view a newly added policy rule without having to wait for the daily update, for example, you used the Refresh Policy Agent Rules Cache option (F) on the Policy Agent Rules panel. But, using this method could be time-consuming and inefficient. With the current release, a user-defined auto-refresh interval for the Policy Agent rules cache enhances system performance by enabling you to control when the Policy Agent rules cache is updated. The automated refresh feature is enabled through the new Policy Cache Refresh option in the USS - Unix System Services Interface parameter group. The scheduling options are:
    • DAILY (default) - The cache is refreshed once per day at 1:05 am.
    • HOURLY - The cache is refreshed once per hour, after you have selected HOURLY and "actioned" (F6) the USS - Unix System Services Interface parameter group.
    • MENU - The cache is refreshed when you access the Policy Agent Rules panel (/POLICY).
The Refresh Policy Agent Rules Cache option (F) on the Policy Agent Rules panel remains available for on-demand refreshes. In addition, the F4=Toggle control on the Policy Agent Rules panel has been changed to an F4=Collapse/F4=Expand option, so that it matches standard panel options.
To enable the automated refresh options for the Policy Agent rules cache, apply PTF LU17231.
