    During the Rally Office Hours session on July 24, 2025, we discussed the availability of webinar recording on how our customer Honeywell is using Rally + Insights to predictively improve their key delivery metrics (such as Cycle Time and Throughput).

    One of the key benefits of this approach as highlighted by Honeywell is the predictability of meeting the delivery outcomes – predictability builds trust with business stakeholders. 

    If your organization has challenges meeting delivery expectations, and you want a structured approach to attaining your delivery goals – you should consider the approach taken by Honeywell. 

    We also announced the availability of two new exciting capabilities in ValueOps Insights: 

    1. Explanation of how we are computing the probability of leading indicators' (product health metrics) likelihood of meeting its targets. This will help users better understand the data science behind how we arrive at the confidence scores for leading indicators

    2. Mapping of Products to Team/Projects (inherited from Rally). This will help users not only associate products to execution teams, but also automatically create a mapping between the products and the associated portfolio items and work items (e.g. features, stories, etc)  

    For those of you that are catching up, ValueOps Insights is an add-on to Rally which will help our customers measure and improve the performance of their software product value streams, including value stream outcomes such as customer and business value realized.

    The following is the text from the original announcement that was posted on Rally admins community early June. 

    Broadcom is announcing the launch (on June 1, 2025) of a new capability called "Value Realization" in ValueOps Insights (an add-on to Rally) that will help our customers predictively track and assure customer and business value from their digital product value streams. 

    Description of Capability

    Enterprises struggle to proactively assure customer value and business Outcomes from their digital product investments. These Outcomes are typically measured using laggard indicators that take a long time to measure, are often measured after the fact, and create uncertainty about whether Outcomes will be achieved. 

    ValueOps Insights addresses this problem by enabling proactive assurance of business Outcomes tied to digital value streams. 

    Using this capability, customers can define business Outcomes for Products and map them to leading indicators (called Product Health Metrics or PHMs). They can set goals for PHMs based on Outcome goals. Data for the PHMs can be collected continuously from a variety of tools using automation. ValueOps Insights computes the confidence of each PHM meeting its goals at a future date, based on which we compute the confidence of the Outcome's goals being met. This allows users to proactively track the confidence of meeting an Outcome's target on a proactive and continuous basis, and take adaptive action if needed. 

    The following example screenshot illustrates a somewhat low confidence in customer growth expectations based on the probability of hitting the targets for the related leading indicators.

    Announcement 

    We are excited to make this capability available to our current Rally customers at zero-cost with the goal of getting them started on the value realization journey by first leveraging data from within Rally.  

    The first stage of the journey will help our customers predictively improve their delivery excellence. We make this more efficient using automated data integration from Rally and other third-party tools. We make this more effective by automatically predicting the likelihood of meeting your delivery excellence goals so that you take adaptive actions as needed. See picture below. 

    How do you get started? 

    Rally users can log on to Insights to try this new functionality using existing Rally credentials by visiting vsi.rallydev.com or vsi-eu.rallydev.com. Rally users who are already authenticated in a Rally session can access the site without additional login. No additional user administration is required. Rally users must have write access to at least one project in the workspace in order to create product health measures and outcomes.
