Hi
i prefere the following migration path. For testing purposes i would advice a testing environment.
You can only proceed to the next step if the step you working on is successfully done. Make shure that you can step backward to a running state. If you have a virtual environment, make a snapshot of functioning environment.
- Install the OpenJDK JRE in V11 or 17 ( V24 recommend Java JRE V17 ) parallel without setting path to the new JRE
- Set Java Home Variable temporarily to the new path, and start the agent.
- Look at the Agents Log Files to see if the agent is running properly
- Run a testjob to check your agent work correctly
- Change system wide JAVA_HOME Variable
