Greetings to all of our Capacity Planning users!
If you are using the new experience and have run into some frustrations with your allocations "disappearing", we are happy to announce that we have corrected the issue with some new behavior that remedies this issue.
When a team/project has an item fully assigned we use the preliminary or refined estimates to calculating the capacity. If a second team then decides to allocate that feature with a value they wish to contribute, the old behavior would use the allocations only and the original team would see a zero in their calculation.
We have changed this behavior so that if any team present in the allocation list does not have a value, we will continue using the preliminary, or refined estimate. This means when that second team makes an allocation unbeknownst to you, your capacity will no longer change to zero. The iconography beside the allocation estimate value will denote which estimation is in effect for that allocation.
