Greetings SYSVIEW community!
On behalf of the SYSVIEW product team, we are pleased to announce that the SYSVIEW Java Virtual Machine and Language Environment component was enhanced to provide real-time monitoring insights for z/OS Connect OpenAPI 3 native servers, equivalent to the insights that are currently available for OpenAPI 2 servers. The enhancements are delivered to you in Feature PTF LU15234.
The following list summarizes the enhancements.
z/OS Connect OpenAPI 3 Support
The JVM Data Collector Agent can now be configured in z/OS Connect (zCN) OpenAPI 3 native servers to provide the same real-time monitoring insights that the agent currently provides for OpenAPI 2 servers. To provide the insights, z/OS Connect OpenAPI 3 version 3.0.74 and higher is required.
New JVM Data Collector Agent Option
The agent contains the following new configuration option.
zcnInterList
Specify the option on z/OS Connect servers that define multiple interceptor lists. The option can be specified on OpenAPI 2 and OpenAPI 3 servers. The option is beneficial when the server.xml configuration file for a z/OS Connect server outlines multiple interceptor lists.
Enhanced zCN Commands
Several zCN commands were enhanced to provide real-time monitoring insights about zCN servers that are running z/OS Connect OpenAPI 3.
Miscellaneous Enhancement
This PTF delivers the following new command:
UNIQCHARS
Lets you analyze data that is displayed in a specified field for unique combinations of data, based on the number of characters that are specified.
Use the command to analyze unique combinations of a partial data value based on the number of characters in the data value.
For more information about these enhancements, see
New Features in the SYSVIEW Performance Management documentation.
NOTE: The z/OS Connect OpenAPI 3 Support enhancements that are delivered with Feature PTF LU15234 do not apply to SYSVIEW Essentials configurations of SYSVIEW Performance Management. For more information, see New Features in the SYSVIEW Essentials documentation.
We value your business and thank you for using SYSVIEW!
