    Hello SYSVIEW community!

On behalf of the SYSVIEW product team, we are pleased to announce that the SYSVIEW Option for TCP/IP was enhanced to provide support for Dynamic Virtual IP Address (DVIPA) commands, support for system and cross-system capabilities, and new data fields for displaying new IBM TCP/IP data to several existing SYSVIEW TCP/IP commands. The enhancements help you monitor and manage Dynamic VIPAs within your network environments more effectively. The enhancements are delivered to you in Feature PTF LU15429.

The following list summarizes the enhancements that this PTF delivers.

New Dynamic VIPA Commands and Menu
The Option for TCP/IP was enhanced to support displaying Dynamic Virtual IP Address (DVIPA) related information. To support this capability, SYSVIEW contains several new commands. The commands can be accessed using the new TCP/IP Dynamic VIPA Commands Menu (MENU DVIPA). For a complete list of the new commands, see New TCP/IP Commands in TCP/IP Enhancements.
Also, the z/OS Container Extension Menu (MENU ZCX) contains new options that provide information that can help you manage and troubleshoot ZCX containers.

    System and Cross-system Support
Several SYSVIEW TCP/IP commands were enhanced to add parameters that support system and cross-system displays.
The new DVIPA commands and the enhanced commands contain new command parameters that let you tailor your displays to monitor one TCP/IP stack, or several TCP/IP stacks on one or more systems.
The new DVIPA commands and the enhanced TCP/IP commands also contain new fields in the information area of the respective displays.
For more detailed information about system and cross-system support, the new command parameters, and the new information area fields, see TCP/IP System and Cross-System Enabled Command Standardization in TCP/IP Enhancements.

TCP/IP Commands with New Data Fields
This PTF also delivers several SYSVIEW TCP/IP commands that contain new data fields. The new fields provide a more comprehensive overview of the systems you are monitoring. For a complete list of the enhanced commands and their corresponding new fields, see Enhanced TCP/IP Commands in TCP/IP Enhancements.

NOTE: The SYSVIEW Option for TCP/IP enhancements that are delivered with Feature PTF LU15429 do not apply to SYSVIEW Essentials configurations of SYSVIEW Performance Management.

For more information about Feature PTF LU15429, see New Features in the SYSVIEW Performance Management documentation.

We value your business and thank you for using SYSVIEW!
