Hello SYSVIEW community!
On behalf of the SYSVIEW product team, we are pleased to announce the SYSVIEW Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and Language Environment (LE) component was enhanced to provide additional monitoring insights and management for JVMs that are running on z/OS.
The enhancements are delivered to you in Feature PTF LU14493. The following list summarizes the enhancements.
Java Loaded Classes Information
The JVM and LE component was enhanced to display information about the Java classes and packages that are loaded in a JVM. SYSVIEW contains a new command named JVMCLASS to provide this capability.
z/OS Connect User Requests Summarization
The JVM and LE component was enhanced to display summarized information about users that sent requests to z/OS Connect OpenAPI 2 servers. SYSVIEW contains a new command named ZCNUSERS to provide this capability.
Java Version Discovery Process Improvements
SYSVIEW automatically detects JVMs on z/OS and the Java version for each JVM. SYSVIEW now reads version information from the file named release
in the Java home directory. To support this enhancement, the AOT and JIT data fields were deprecated from the JVMVERS command.
For more information about the JVM and LE enhancements, see New Features.
NOTE: The JVM and LE component enhancements that are delivered with Feature PTF LU14493 do not apply to SYSVIEW Essentials configurations of SYSVIEW Performance Management.
We value your business and thank you for using SYSVIEW!
