Hello SYSVIEW community!
On behalf of the SYSVIEW product team, we are pleased to announce that the SYSVIEW Applications Server (SYSVAPPS) and the SYSVIEW Conditions Application are enhanced. The enhancements are delivered to you in Feature PTF LU17009.
The following list summarizes the enhancements that this PTF delivers:
- New SYSVIEW Conditions Storage Type: The Conditions Application is enhanced to let you store Conditions, Collectors, Schedules, and System Groups definitions in regular USS Files, which eliminates the need to install and configure IBM VSAM RLS. This type of storage is beneficial to sites that do not have a sysplex configuration or VSAM RLS configured. Note that when you store definitions in regular USS Files, they cannot be shared with other systems.
- Enhanced SYSVIEW Applications User Interface: The user interface contains a new Guided Workflow that is designed to help you complete tasks more easily. Also, several pages in the user interface are enhanced to improve performance, alignment, fit, and finish. Feel free to let us know your thoughts about these enhancements!
- And much more!
For a detailed description of the enhancements that this PTF delivers, see New Features in the SYSVIEW Performance Management documentation and New Features in the SYSVIEW Essentials documentation.
NOTE: The SYSVIEW Conditions Storage Type and SYSVIEW Application User Interface enhancements do not apply to SYSVIEW Essentials configurations of SYSVIEW Performance Management.
We value your business and thank you for using SYSVIEW!
