    Hello SYSVIEW community!

On behalf of the SYSVIEW product team, we are pleased to announce that the SYSVIEW Option for IBM MQ was enhanced to provide compatibility support for IBM MQ 9.4.0. Additionally, the option contains new MQ command parameters and expands the fields available on MQ displays, which provides you with more comprehensive and detailed information.

The enhancements are delivered to you in Feature PTF LU14421. The following list summarizes the enhancements.

Compatibility Support for IBM MQ 9.4.0

The Option for IBM MQ now provides compatibility support for IBM MQ managers at the 9.4.0 release level.

    Enhanced MQ Commands

    MQLIST

Enhanced to let you determine if a queue manager is in an active state on a remote system. When a queue manager is defined on multiple systems, it might be active on only one system at a time. This enhancement lets you view queue managers as INACTIVE if they are not ACTIVE anywhere else in the system.

    MQPARMS

Enhanced to let you view zHyperLink active log writes (support for IBM MQ version 9.4.0).

MQQALIAS, MQQLOCAL, MQQMODEL, MQQUEUE, and MQQREMOTE

Enhanced to let you view the maximum time, in tenths of a second, until a message becomes eligible for expiry processing in the CapExpry field (support for IBM MQ version 9.4.0).

    MQQSTAT and MQQUSERS

Enhanced to let you view the user ID that the MCA uses for the handle in the MCAUser field. To gather this information, the commands require you to specify a new command parameter named EXTENDED.

    MQRJOB, MQRLOG, and MQROBJ

Enhanced to let you have access to more precise data on these displays, which lets you analyze MQ panel data more accurately. The commands contain fields that were enhanced to display up to eight characters and to display unformatted numbers before SYSVIEW expresses the value as a suffixed number.

    Enhanced MQPARMS Parmlib Member

Enhanced to let you determine whether the zHyperLink feature is enabled through a new initialization parameter named LOGP ZHYLINK in the MQPARMS parmlib member.

NOTE: The SYSVIEW Option for IBM MQ enhancements that are delivered with Feature PTF LU14421 do not apply to SYSVIEW Essentials configurations of SYSVIEW Performance Management.

For a comprehensive description of all the features and functionality that PTF LU14421 delivers, see New Features in the SYSVIEW documentation.

We value your business and thank you for choosing SYSVIEW!
