    Greetings SYSVIEW community!
On behalf of the SYSVIEW product team, we are pleased to announce that the SYSVIEW Option for CICS was enhanced to provide compatibility support for the IBM CICS Transaction Server (TS) version 6.3 ETP04 Open Beta. The support allows early adopters of the beta to monitor CICS using SYSVIEW. Feature PTF LU15105 delivers this capability. In addition to the Open Beta support, the following enhancements were added.

    New CICS Commands
The Option for CICS contains the following new commands:
    • CAKP: Displays CICS activity keypoint statistics. Keypoints are used for monitoring and analyzing the performance of CICS applications.
    • CTERMVEL: Displays the velocity of transactions that executed on terminals and transactions started on other client types.
    • CTRANSTA: Displays transaction start topology information for transactions that were started by another transaction using an EXEC CICS START TRANSID request.
For more detailed information about the commands, see CICS Enhancements.

    New CICS Configuration Options
The SVWCOPTS parmlib member contains the following new options. The options control the data collection process that produces the statistics that are available to the new CTERMVEL command.
    • TERMINAL-VELOCITY-COLLECTION
    • TERMINAL-VELOCITY-IDLETIME
    • TERMINAL-VELOCITY-MINIMUM-SEQUENCE
For more detailed information about the options, see SVWCOPTS.

Enhanced CICS Transaction Detail (CTRANLOG) SMF Record
The following updates were made to the CICS transaction detail (CTRANLOG) SMF record, and the reporting functions that process the record:
    • New Field in the (CTRANLOG) Record in CNM4BMAC(GSVSMF27)
      Field: MNS_XPFC_AIDKeyCode
      Description: AID key
The HostBridge Transaction Analytics Connector (HTAC) can use this field to determine if a transaction was started using a 3270 AID key.
    • New Field for Easytrieve in Member CNM4ZMAC(GSVSMF27)
      Field: MNS_XPFC_AIDKeyCode
      Description: AID key
    • New ID Option for Explore Report Writer in CNM4RSAM(GSVSMF27)
      ID Option: C_AIDKEY
      Description: CICS AID key

NOTE: The enhancements that are delivered with Feature PTF LU15105 do not apply to SYSVIEW Essentials configurations of SYSVIEW Performance Management.

We value your business and thank you for using SYSVIEW!
