Data Center Security Server Advanced (DCS SA) provides comprehensive runtime server monitoring and protection enabling microsegmentation, administrator privilege de-escalation, patch mitigation, and protection against zero-day threats in private and public cloud data centers. It also provides policy-based security and compliance to workloads and modern applications such as dockers, containers, and more. Policies such as the Intrusion Prevention policies (IPS) with hardening capabilities and the Intrusion Detection policies (IDS) operate across a broad range of platforms and applications.
DCS 6.10.0 management infrastructure including Single Management Console is a major DCS refresh and an important release for our customers and would not have been possible without the cohesive effort of all the cross functional teams. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the global teams for their work and commitment in delivering this release.
Release Highlights:
Single Management Console with modern user interface
Data Center Security: Server Advanced 6.10.0 has a new consolidated standalone Management Console with a modern user interface. The improved dashboards of the console eases workflows that reduces complexity in asset management. The re-architected database improves performance and the centralized event logging reduces the remediation time.
Advanced DCS Object Tagging Capabilities
New tagging capabilities allow DCS SA administrators to better organize, monitor, and perform drilled-down object management. Admins can create their own custom tags to better manage assets, policies, events and alerts
Tailored Data filtering Capabilities
Events can be filtered using the Quick Filters or Custom Filters options on the Investigate page of the console.
Advanced Policy Content Search Capabilities
Quick and custom filtering allows DCS admins to search specific rules within hardening, monitoring, and configuration security policies. Granular search capabilities allow filtering of policies based on custom rules. This enables consistently managed security across physical and virtual environments.
Enhanced User Management
DCS SA 6.10.0 now calculates and displays the 'since last login' time and automatically disables inactive users for the configured time period. Failed login attempts on the Management Console are tracked and logged to the user audit logging to meet the compliance requirements.
Enhanced Container Management
Container and virtual management assets are displayed on a separate tab on the console page. This allows Administrators to identify a container/host association.
Centralized Certificate Management
Certificate information is stored in the database and retrieved seamlessly when setting up the Communication Server. The certificate details are available on the Settings page of the console.
Improved and new Security Dashboards and Widgets
Dashboards and widgets display event trends over 1-3 days.
API driven Management Architecture
The API driven architecture facilitates automation of routine tasks such as policy enforcement, asset management, and alert management.
Prevention Assessment Report
A Prevention Assessment Report can be generated containing the cumulative prevention data of all agents and their security groups. This helps evaluate the security posture of the assets of your network.
