When a user is looking at device details in inventory, the default metric view that shows 24hrs to the right for foundational metrics is ok but most often users quickly want to see beyond 24hrs when triaging.  I find users constantly asking how to see beyond 24hrs because the Metrics tab is not something they intuitively think to go to and often forget that is where they need to go.  Then once they get to Metrics screen, there's no OOB views.

Instead move the contents of the Metrics tab to the default view next to device details with all the drop downs at the top and make the oob default view a Metric View that is automatically selected in the dropdown when first viewing the device details page.  Make this section a panel with an optional button to expand to larger panel.  Moving Metrics to the default view is eliminates steps by fewer screen changes for something every user expects.  Intuitively the dropdown for time range is right there without having to change screens or they can quickly change MV's.

    Example of what i mean:

    Hi Chris,

I think this is a really good idea and makes a whole lot of sense.  I have made Product Management aware and they asked that an idea be created for it.  I went ahead and created the idea.
