    Please see my answers below:

    1. how to export through modeling gateway based on custom attribute
ANSWER: I am not aware of a way to export based on a custom attribute.  You can use the Modeling Gateway to export a subset of models. Reference "How can we export a subset of device models without having to export all of the device models when using the Spectrum Modeling Gateway?".

    2. is there any chances to lose historical data?
ANSWER: Historical event data from the Archive Manager (DDM) database cannot be migrated.

    3. after importing model handle will change to devices?
ANSWER: Yes, the models exported/imported using the Modeling Gateway will have all new models handles based on the landscape handle on the new system.

    4. is there any way to split SSDB other than modeling gateway
ANSWER: Modeling Gateway is the supported method to use when partitioning a database.

I would just export the devices from the old system to the new system via RestAPI. Build a list of devices using the IPs in the old system, model them in the new system and after that, for each device get all relevant custom attributes from old system to the new system via Rest.

In theory you could also do events via Rest, but it would be a pain to create the events on the new system. I would drop it altogether.
